My expectations from this litter are a mixture of solid liver and ticked and patched pups. All pups should be biddable in the field and show ring considering Romo was a top 25 GSP and a Grand Champion. Schatzi has Grand Champion points as well, however, I think her field title is more important so i haven't persued it any further. Raquel has kept Romo with me since the breeding to work him in the field and he is bird crazy. Working on his obedience so he will come back to me instead of chasing the bird to the next county was high on the list of priorities. He now hunts and holds until the flush. He has proven to be a very quick learner starting at 5 yrs old and has the potential to get advanced field titles after we finish his Junior Hunter title. Schatzi is very high energy and in the field is no different. She has one leg towards her Master title. She works the field covering the ground better than most dogs I have trained. Getting past the energy level, I admit has been a challenge in pursuit of a Master title but I love to see that energy in a hunting dog. That's why my good friend, Phil and I say "you can't take a hunting dog to a hunt test." This holds true unless of course, you can walk away DQed with a happy dog and a smile on your face.
